Meet NathanProxxent’s History
Proxxent’s founders all had a common thread in service and repair. When we first came together to bring Proxxent into the world it was with the belief that service should come first. All of us had worked in companies where field services were viewed as a necessary evil. Having been on both sides of the fence as a service provider and also hiring outside services, we had become familiar with what customers had grown to accept as the standard of care within the industry. This was deeply dissatisfying. When a customer hires an outside consultant to help them with the repair and maintenance of their equipment they have the right to expect value, perseverance, and commitment from that provider. As all of us in the industry have seen, many times the service company falls woefully short after the initial sale.
Our motto in this company has always been “Do right. Move forward.” This may sound overly simple, but that’s the beauty of it. Do right by your customers. Move them and the industry forward. This is a worthwhile and rewarding pursuit as well as a core value that we all share, and will continue to instill in those that come on staff here.
The products that we have built come from the “Do right. Move forward” aspect of our philosophy. When you see things break the same way dozens of times, it really doesn’t take Einstein’s intellect to say “You know…this should be made better.” We will offer Proxxent products at a future date.
So how did we come up with the name Proxxent? Our first product was a proximity based primary sensor for airheaters with Leakage Control Systems (LCS). “PROXimity ENTerprises” was going to be our title, but that was unwieldy. We were continually combining the two words for brevity and adopted the moniker “Proxxent”. We have since made it the official name of the company.
Whether you have Leakage Control Systems or not, the airheater is usually the single largest piece of rotating machinery in a large utility boiler system. Unfortunately, due to its apparent simplicity, it is often one of the most neglected. We recognize this and have made it our mission to offer service and parts that will help your airheaters perform above and beyond their designed efficiency. More importantly, Airheaters are what we do…all day…every day. We believe you should expect more from your airheater service company. Whether it’s troubleshooting thermal performance or leakage problems, routine inspections/maintenance, or 24/7 emergency assistance, you have the right to expect consistent, determined, and knowledgeable technical support. Our goal is that you get exactly that.
