Nathan Hastings is one of the founders and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Proxxent Technologies. Proxxent provides a platform that is uniquely architected to provide fast, accurate, and lasting solutions to our customers in the power and industrial fields. As CTO, Nathan has authored 4 new patents currently pending for Airheater sealing products and pollution control equipment.
His boots first hit the ground as the prototype development and manufacturing systems for McCrometer Corporation. New technologies as well as higher production demands necessitated a streamlined manufacturing process that needed to be re-thought. He served on McCrometer’s Rapid Prototype Development and Implementation Group. His design skills coupled with his expertise in manufacturing allowed for a quick turn-around on projects.
As a design engineer for XECO Corporation, Nathan developed and implemented patentable new production equipment for the highly specialized process of Quartz X-tal high frequency probing. Nathan developed an extremely quiet z-axis motion device whose motion resolved in less than 10 ms. This allowed for a higher level of data accuracy for inputs that control production variables for quartz etch times. He then went on to similar successes in the print and power industries.
The common denominator that these diverse industries share is Nathan. He has consistently demonstrated an innate ability to analyze systems and equipment with an eye not bound by the constraints of his immediate surroundings. To say he is an “out of the box” thinker would be cliché. He refuses to see “the Box”, and makes a continuous effort to move airheater technology forward with a focus on serviceability, and documentable performance.
